<video:description>Pubic pain during pregnancy? It might be your pubic symphysis & not “just a normal part of pregnancy.”🤰🏻 If turning in bed, getting out of the car, climbing stairs, standing on one leg, or even walking has become painful, you could be experiencing Pregnancy-Related Pelvic Girdle Pain (PGP) or Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction (SPD). During pregnancy, hormonal changes increase ligament laxity while your growing baby changes your body’s centre of gravity and the way forces are transferred through the pelvis. When the muscles that support the pelvis aren’t working together efficiently, the pubic symphysis can become irritated and painful. The good news? The right exercises can help. Targeted strengthening of your glutes, deep core, hip stabilisers, pelvic floor, and inner thigh muscles can improve pelvic stability, reduce excessive stress across the pubic symphysis, and help you move with less pain and more confidence. Pain during pregnancy is common but that doesn’t mean you have to simply put up with it. 📌 Save this reel for when you need it, and share it with a pregnant mama who might be struggling with pubic pain. ⚠️ Disclaimer: Every pregnancy is different. These exercises may not be suitable for everyone. If you have persistent or severe pelvic pain, get assessed by a Women’s Health Physiotherapist and consult your Obstetrician/Gynecologist for an individualized treatment plan. . . . . . . . <video:title>🚨 Pubic pain while getting out of bed during pregnancy?🤰🏻</video:title>
<video:description>🚨 Pubic pain while getting out of bed during pregnancy?🤰🏻 That sharp pain at the front of your pelvis isn’t “just part of pregnancy.” During pregnancy, hormones such as relaxin help prepare your body for birth by increasing ligament laxity. As your baby grows, the load on your pelvis also increases. Together, these changes can make the pubic symphysis (the joint at the front of your pelvis) more sensitive and less stable, especially during movements where one leg moves independently. That’s why getting out of bed the wrong way can make it worse. ❌ Avoid: • Twisting your pelvis • Moving one leg at a time • Letting your knees separate • Sitting up by twisting ✅ Instead: • Keep your knees together • Log roll onto your side • Move your shoulders and hips together • Use your arms to push yourself up • Bring both legs off the bed together The goal is to reduce shearing forces across the pubic symphysis and keep your pelvis moving as one unit. ✨ I’ll be sharing more practical tips and exercises to help you manage pregnancy pelvic pain and make everyday movements more comfortable. 💬 Comment “EXERCISE” and I’ll share more exercises and tips to help manage this pain. 📌 Save this Reel and share it with an expecting mama who needs this. . . . . . <video:title>If Netflix actually made this documentary, it wouldn’t fit into one season.</video:title>
<video:description>If Netflix actually made this documentary, it wouldn’t fit into one season. Because postpartum recovery is still treated like the part of childbirth that somehow takes care of itself. You’ve probably Googled at least one of these: 🔸Why does my lower back still hurt postpartum? 🔸Why do I still look pregnant months after giving birth? 🔸What is diastasis recti? 🔸When can I safely start exercising after a normal delivery or C-section? 🔸Is pain during sex after childbirth normal? 🔸Why does my C-section scar still feel tight or numb? 🔸Why does my pelvis feel heavy when I stand? And somewhere along the way, many moms hear: ✨ “Give it time.” ✨ “That’s just part of motherhood.” ✨ “Your body will figure it out.” If only healing worked on motivational quotes 🙂 The truth is, recovery after childbirth is more than waiting. Your pelvic floor, abdominal muscles (diastasis recti), breathing mechanics, C-section or perineal scar, posture, core strength, and return to daily activities and exercise all deserve proper assessment and rehabilitation.. not assumptions. Postpartum rehabilitation isn’t about getting your “pre-baby body” back. It’s about helping you: ✔️ Move without pain. ✔️ Laugh or sneeze without leaking urine. ✔️ Lift your baby confidently. ✔️ Return to exercise safely. ✔️ Reduce pelvic heaviness and pressure. ✔️ Rebuild strength instead of guessing your way through recovery. Motherhood shouldn’t automatically come with discomfort that you’re expected to silently accept. If you’ve ever been told “it’s normal after childbirth,” ask a better question: Is it common or is it actually something that can be treated? Because those aren’t always the same thing. 💬 Tell me in the comments: What’s one postpartum symptom nobody warned you about? 🤍 Send it to a new mom who deserves to know that recovery is something she deserves… not something she simply has to “get through.” . <video:description>That sharp pain in the front of your pelvis isn’t “just pregnancy.” Here’s what’s actually happening… If turning in bed, getting out of the car, climbing stairs, or even walking suddenly causes a sharp pain in the front of your pelvis, you’re not alone. This is often Pregnancy-Related Pelvic Girdle Pain (PGP) or specifically Pubic Symphysis Dysfunction (PSD).. a condition that affects around 1 in 5 pregnant women. Yet, many moms are told it’s “normal” and are left struggling through everyday activities without knowing why it hurts. Here’s the science behind it 👇🏽 During pregnancy, hormones like relaxin increase ligament laxity to prepare your body for childbirth. As a result, the pubic symphysis, the joint that connects the two halves of your pelvis.. becomes slightly more mobile. When one leg moves differently from the other, such as while rolling in bed, stepping out of a car, climbing stairs, or standing on one leg, increased shear forces act across this joint. This can lead to pain, tenderness, and a feeling of pelvic instability. The good news? While this condition is common, persistent pain shouldn’t be ignored. The right physiotherapy, movement modifications, and pregnancy-safe exercises can make a significant difference and help you move more comfortably. ✨ In our next reel, we’ll share simple, evidence-based tips to help reduce pubic symphysis pain during pregnancy.. don’t miss it! 🤍 Share this with an expecting mom who needs to know she’s not “overreacting.” And if you’ve experienced this pain, comment “ME” below.. we’d love to know if this explained what you’ve been feeling. . . . . . . . . . . . . <video:description>“Everyone comes to meet the baby… but how many ask the mother, ‘How are YOU doing?’”🤍 Your body has changed. Your hormones have crashed. You’re surviving on broken sleep. You’re learning to care for a tiny human while trying to recognize yourself again. And somehow… everyone expects you to “enjoy every moment.” The truth is, the postpartum journey isn’t just about physical recovery. After delivery, hormones like estrogen and progesterone drop suddenly. Along with sleep deprivation, pain, breastfeeding challenges, and the overwhelming responsibility of becoming a new mom, it can feel like an emotional roller coaster. Feeling emotional, crying more than usual, or feeling overwhelmed in the first two weeks can be part of the baby blues. But if these feelings last longer than two weeks, become intense, or you feel persistently sad, anxious, numb, guilty, or disconnected from your baby, it could be postpartum depression and it is a real medical condition, not a sign of weakness. You don’t need to “just be stronger.” You need support. So the next time you visit a new mother, don’t just ask, “How’s the baby?” Ask, “How are YOU doing?” That one question could mean everything. 💙 Follow us for evidence-based pregnancy, postpartum, and women’s health education that every woman deserves to know. . . . . . . . . <video:title>“Which contraception is best for us?” 🤔</video:title>
<video:description>“Which contraception is best for us?” 🤔 One of the most common questions couples ask and the answer is: it depends. From condoms, birth control pills, Copper-T, hormonal IUCDs, injections, implants, emergency contraception, to permanent methods for men and women, there are many options available today. ✨ Each method has its own benefits, effectiveness, side effects, and suitability based on factors like: • Age • Medical history • Future pregnancy plans • Breastfeeding status • Lifestyle and personal preferences That’s why choosing contraception should never be based solely on what worked for a friend, family member, or something you saw online. <video:description>1. No proper pregnancy assessment before starting 🚩 Were you asked about your trimester, medical history, pain, pelvic pressure, leaking, exercise history or current symptoms before being added in? 🤔 Because pregnancy exercise should never be “one-size-fits-all.” 2. Too many pregnant women, barely any individual attention 🚩 If the instructor is handling a huge batch, are they really able to observe your breathing, posture, alignment or exercise form properly? 👀 Correct cueing & observation matter so much during pregnancy. 3. Every pregnant woman doing the exact same workout 🚩 A first trimester mom with nausea, a third trimester mom with pelvic pain & someone who was strength training pre-pregnancy will all need very different exercise approaches. Your program should reflect that!! 4. “Prenatal” classes with no real women’s health expertise 🚩 Pregnancy fitness is not just modified workouts. A qualified prenatal professional should understand pregnancy physiology, pelvic health, pressure management, common symptoms & when modifications are medically needed. 5. No changes based on your posture, strength or symptoms 🚩 Back pain, pelvic girdle pain, heaviness, fatigue, rib flare, balance changes, coning or leaking during workouts shouldn’t be ignored Your exercises should adapt to your changing body.. not the other way around. That’s why preconception care is so important. ✨ Research shows that starting folic acid at least 1 month before pregnancy can significantly reduce the risk of neural tube defects in babies! 📊 Before trying to conceive, it’s important to focus on: ✔️ Pre conception tests: haemoglobin, thyroid profile, vitamin levels, blood sugar, infections & more ✔️ Pre conception counselling: reviewing medical history, medications, lifestyle & pregnancy risks ✔️ Nutrition optimisation: for better maternal & fetal health 🥗 ✔️ Exercise & pelvic health preparation for pregnancy, delivery & postpartum recovery 🧘🏻‍♀️ ✔️ Sleep, stress management & healthy routine building 😴 A healthy pregnancy doesn’t begin with a positive test… it begins with preparation!💪🏽 Whether you’re planning this month or next year, taking care of your health beforehand can improve pregnancy outcomes for both mother and baby!👶🏻 Send this to someone who is trying to conceive 🤍 👇🏽 Comment “pregnancy” to know more about how to prep your body for pregnancy. . . . . . . . <video:description>Before it became what we know as Pilates today, it was called “Contrology” a method created by Joseph Pilates. His journey shaped the method. As a child, he struggled with multiple health issues, which led him to deeply study the body, movement, and strength. During World War I, he worked with injured soldiers, using spring-based resistance to help them recover.. laying the foundation for what we now know as Pilates equipment. When he later opened his studio in New York, Contrology became a space for healing, strength, and movement, especially among dancers and performers. Contrology wasn’t just exercise. It was a system of movement built on: • breath • control • precision • flow • centering (the powerhouse) • alignment Every movement had intention. Every transition had purpose. He believed: “It is the mind itself which builds the body.” Over the years, Pilates has evolved & that evolution is important too. Today, we understand more about biomechanics, rehabilitation, pelvic health, and the nervous system. This allows us to adapt the method for modern bodies.. making it more accessible, therapeutic, and relevant. We modify. We personalise. We meet the body where it is. But the essence remains. At its core, Pilates still teaches you how to move. How to find your neutral spine, engage your deep core, move with control over momentum, and connect breath with movement. And that’s why I LOVEEEEE Pilates 😍 Because it goes beyond a workout. It builds awareness that stays with you.. in how you move, sit, stand & live. Simple, but never easy. Subtle, but deeply powerful. On World Pilates Day, this is just a reminder of where it all began & why it still matters 🤍 If you truly love Pilates, read 📖 Return to Life Through Contrology . . <video:title>You don’t need every supplement in pregnancy.</video:title>
<video:description>You don’t need every supplement in pregnancy. You need the right ones 💊✨ Most women are told what to take… but not what is actually essential vs optional 👇🏽 🌸 Must-have (usually prescribed as supplements) These are difficult to meet through diet alone and are almost always needed: • Folic Acid – critical for baby’s brain & spine (especially early pregnancy) • Iron – prevents anemia and supports increased blood demand • Calcium + Vitamin D – baby’s bones + maternal bone protection • Vitamin B12 – baby’s brain & nerve development (very important in vegetarians) ✨ Can be managed through diet (supplement if needed) • Protein – from dal, dairy, eggs, nuts • Omega-3 (DHA) – from walnuts, seeds (supplements if intake is low) ⚖️ Only if required (based on symptoms/reports) • Magnesium – for cramps, sleep issues • Zinc – if deficiency or low immunity • Iodine – usually covered through iodized salt/prenatal vitamins 🚫 What you should NOT do: Don’t take multiple supplements randomly Don’t copy someone else’s prescription Don’t assume “more is better” 💡 The right way: These are the nutrients your body needs, but your dosage and supplements should be personalised ⚠️ Always consult your doctor before starting any supplement 🤍 Save this.. you’ll need it later ♥️ 🤍 Share this with a pregnant woman who deserves the right guidance 🤰🏻 . . . . . . . . . <video:description>If you are pregnant and have ever thought.. “What if I can’t handle labor pain? What if it gets too intense? What if I panic in that moment? How will I even know what to do?” You’re not alone. Almost every mom has these thoughts at some point. And honestly, that’s because no one really explains how to use information during labor. This is exactly where a labor & delivery session helps: 🔸 You understand what labor actually feels like and how it progresses, so you’re not second guessing every pain 🔸 You learn when to go to the hospital, instead of going too early or rushing in panic 🔸 You’re taught how to breathe and move during contractions, not just theoretically 🔸 You practice positions that can actually make labor smoother and more comfortable 🔸 You understand how to push, and more importantly, how to relax your pelvic floor at the right time 🔸 Your partner also knows how to support you, instead of feeling lost It doesn’t make labor “easy” but it makes you feel much more in control of what’s happening. And that changes the whole experience. Because when you understand your body and trust the process, things feel less overwhelming… and a lot more manageable 🤍 🚨 Most moms realise this only after delivery, don’t be one of them! 👉🏼 Save & share this with a mom-to-be who needs to feel more prepared for her labor 🤰🏻 . . . . <video:description>This pregnancy habit is not just “good for you”… it’s building your baby’s brain 🧠👶🏻 There’s a powerful protein your body produces called Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor And it plays a key role in brain development. 🧠 What does BDNF actually do? BDNF helps: • Brain cells grow (neurogenesis) • Form stronger connections (synapses) • Function efficiently 👉🏼 In simple terms: it supports how the brain is built and wired 🤰🏻 Why does this matter in pregnancy? Your baby’s brain is developing rapidly in the womb. Higher BDNF levels are associated with: • Better neuronal growth • Improved brain connectivity • Stronger foundation for learning & memory 🚶🏻‍♀️Where does exercise come in? Research shows that exercise increases BDNF levels When you move: • Blood flow to the brain improves • Oxygen & nutrients increase • Your body signals the brain to release more BDNF 👉🏼 Creating a more supportive environment for your baby’s brain development 💛 Benefits for both mom & baby For baby 👶🏻 • Supports brain development • Enhances neural connections For mom 🤰🏻 • Improves mood • Reduces stress & anxiety • Supports mental well-being Exercise in pregnancy is not just about weight or fitness. It is a neuroprotective and neurodevelopmental tool benefiting both maternal and fetal brain health. 📚 References • Erickson KI et al. <video:description>Being a Physiotherapist & Pilates instructor has taught me one thing again and again.. you can’t pour from an empty cup 🙌🏽 Every day I help women move better, feel stronger, and take care of their bodies… and this journey constantly reminds me to do the same for myself 🧘🏻‍♀️ Movement isn’t just about workouts It’s about: • supporting your hormones • building strength for every phase of life • preventing pain before it starts • feeling energised in your own body And for women, this matters even more because our bodies go through so many changes, whether you have PCOS, are pregnant, or are in the perimenopause phase 🍂 Staying active is not a luxury, it’s a necessity 💯 Start with 10 minutes. Start small. Just start ✨ SAVE this for the days you feel low on motivation & SHARE this with a woman who always puts herself last 🩷 . . . . . . . . <video:title>Happy International Women’s Day 🩷</video:title>
<video:description>Happy International Women’s Day 🩷 “Women are for the kitchen.” So we cooked. But over the last 3 years of Women’s Health Duo, we’ve also been cooking something far more important… conversations around women’s health. Because for so long, women have been taught to normalize pain, ignore symptoms, and put their health last. Period pain, hormonal changes, pregnancy recovery, pelvic health, fertility.. sooo many topics that affect women every day, yet are rarely spoken about openly. Through Women’s Health Duo, our goal has always been simple: to educate women about their bodies, break myths, and help them feel confident about their health. Because empowerment starts with awareness. When a woman understands her body, she can advocate for herself, make informed decisions, and live healthier at every stage of life. Here’s to stronger bodies, informed minds, and empowered women. And to continuing this journey of women’s health awareness for many more years. 💛 . . . . . . . . <video:title>Trying to conceive?🤰🏻Get these fertility tests done! 🔬</video:title>
<video:description>🔬Fertility testing is essential for diagnosing and addressing potential issues in women trying to conceive. It involves a series of evaluations to assess hormonal balance, ovarian function, and reproductive anatomy, providing a comprehensive understanding of a woman’s fertility status.✨ 📌 Ovulation Monitoring🗓️ - Essential for tracking the release of an egg, helping to time conception accurately. 📌 Blood Tests💉 - Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH): Assesses ovarian reserve and function. - Luteinizing Hormone (LH): Diagnoses ovulation issues. - Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH): Evaluates ovarian reserve. - Estradiol (E2): Measures ovarian follicle health and hormonal balance. - Progesterone (P): Confirms ovulation and luteal phase health. - Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone (TSH): Detects thyroid disorders affecting fertility. - Prolactin (PRL): Identifies hyperprolactinemia that can disrupt ovulation. 📌 Transvaginal Ultrasound🩺 - Antral Follicle Count (AFC): Estimates the number of remaining eggs. - Ovarian Reserve: Assesses the quantity and quality of eggs. 📌 Hysterosalpingography (HSG)🩻 - Evaluates fallopian tube patency and uterine cavity for abnormalities. ❗️These comprehensive fertility tests are crucial for diagnosing underlying issues, guiding personalized treatment plans, and optimizing the chances of conception.🩷 💌DM us to know more on Fertility testing!😇 Dr. Charmi Shah (M.S. <video:title>The biggest childbirth myth - Kegels prepare you for delivery</video:title>
<video:description>💭 “Just do Kegels every day.. it’ll make labor easier!” Sound familiar? 🙋🏻‍♀️ You’re definitely not alone. 👀 But here’s what most people don’t explain: Your pelvic floor isn’t just about squeezing stronger. It also needs to relax, lengthen, and let go during birth. ➡️ For some, pelvic floor strengthening is helpful - yes, Kegels can improve support and prevent leaks. ➡️ But many pregnant women have pelvic floors that are tight or overactive… and doing more Kegels can actually make relaxing harder when it matters most 😮‍💨 ✨ What really prepares you for birth is pelvic floor awareness, knowing when to contract and when to fully release. Because during delivery, strength alone won’t cut it. Being able to let go is just as important. 👩🏻‍⚕️ As a pelvic health physio, I assess your individual pelvic floor needs and guide you through exercises that help your body get ready for labor the right way.. no unnecessary squeezing or guessing. 👇🏽 Have you been told to do Kegels for birth? <video:title>💭 “Just do Kegels every day.. it’ll make labor easier!”</video:title>
📩 DM us “BIRTH” to find out more about our labor prep sessions (spoiler: it’s not just about Kegels 😉) 👇🏽 Have you been told to do Kegels for birth? <video:title>“It’s just period pain” - or is it? 🤔💭</video:title>
<video:description>“It’s just period pain” - or is it? 🤔💭 Severe period cramps that disrupt your daily routine aren’t normal! If you find yourself curled up in pain every month, missing work, or popping painkillers like candy🍬 - it’s time to dig deeper. One possible culprit? Endometriosis. This condition occurs when endometrial-like tissue grows outside the uterus, leading to chronic pelvic pain, painful periods (dysmenorrhea), pain during intercourse (dyspareunia), and even infertility. Sounds serious? That’s because it is! Yet, so many suffer in silence because period pain is often dismissed as “just part of being a woman.” 🚨 Newsflash: Debilitating pain is NOT normal! 🚨 If your period pain feels like it’s taking over your life, don’t brush it off - book an appointment with your gynecologist and get checked for conditions like endometriosis. Early diagnosis can make all the difference!✨ #womenshealth #ahmedabad #fyp #obgyn #instagood #gynecologist #womenshealthphysio #endometriosis #endo #endowarrior #endometriosisawarenessmonth #period #periodpain #cramp #periodcramps #womenshealthduo #infertility #awareness #endometriosisawareness #endopain #menstrualcycle #womenshealthmatters #valsad #india #obstetriciangynecologist #womenshealthcare #healthawareness</video:description>

<video:title>AMH - a tiny hormone with a big impact on your fertility!🥚💡</video:title>
<video:description>AMH - a tiny hormone with a big impact on your fertility!🥚💡 It’s produced by small follicles in your ovaries and gives an estimate of your ovarian reserve (aka how many eggs you’ve got left). 👉🏼Here’s something you might not know: AMH doesn’t just guide fertility planning, it also helps diagnose conditions like PCOS or low ovarian reserve. 🩺 And for Indian women, AMH levels can start to decline earlier, sometimes even in their late 20s or early 30s! 🧐Thinking of delaying pregnancy, exploring egg freezing, or just curious? Checking your AMH can help you make informed decisions. ‼️But remember, AMH is just one piece of the puzzle, other factors like egg quality and overall health matter too! 🔆Ready to plan smarter? <video:title>🤰🏻Paracetamol During Pregnancy: Safe Choice or Extra Caution?🤔</video:title>
<video:description>🤰🏻Paracetamol During Pregnancy: Safe Choice or Extra Caution?🤔 🔸In every Indian home, Dolo 650 is the go-to for fever and pain relief. But when you’re pregnant, even everyday meds require extra care. 🧐So, is it safe to reach for paracetamol during pregnancy? Here’s what you need to know.👶🏻✨ ▶️First Trimester: In these early months when your baby’s development is delicate, stick to the lowest effective dose (325-500 mg) and use it only for occasional relief. Always consult your gynecologist first! 🩺 ▶️Second & Third Trimesters: Later in pregnancy, doses up to 650 mg are generally safe as needed, but don’t exceed 4g per day. Even then, short-term use is key to minimizing risks.💊 ‼️Reminder: Always check with your gynecologist before taking any medication in pregnancy. Even common meds like paracetamol need professional guidance to protect you and your baby.🌸 Have questions about other meds during pregnancy? <video:title>Did You Know These Fascinating Facts About Newborns?👶🏻✨</video:title>
<video:description>Did You Know These Fascinating Facts About Newborns?👶🏻✨ 🥰Newborns may be tiny, but they’re full of incredible surprises that make the first few months so special! 🤩From unique reflexes to surprising senses, here are some fun facts about your little one’s amazing abilities: ▶️They See the World in Black, White, and Gray 🖤🤍: For the first couple of months, newborns can only see high-contrast colors. By 2-3 months, they start recognizing bright colors like red and yellow, which are easier for their developing eyes to process. ▶️Stronger Than They Look!💪🏽: Newborns may seem delicate, but they’re surprisingly strong. Check out their grasp reflex, it allows them to hold your finger tightly, an instinct that dates back to survival needs. ▶️Built-In Reflexes✋🏼: Babies have amazing reflexes! The Moro reflex (or startle reflex) makes them throw out their arms when startled, and the rooting reflex helps them find a breast or bottle for feeding by turning their head toward touch. 🤓Did any of these surprise you? Comment below with what you found the most fascinating and let us know if you’d love to see more fun facts! ⬇️ #newborn #babies #baby #fun #funfacts #interestingfacts #reflexes #primitivereflexes #babydevelopment #newbornbaby #pediatrics #peds #obgyn #knowledge #fyp #instagram #trend #womenshealth #pregnant #postdelivery #laboranddelivery #womenshealthphysio #babysofinstagram #babystyle #postpartum #earlypostpartum #india #ahmedabad #valsad</video:description>

<video:title>Date Eating at Term: Are Dates the Secret to Smoother Labor?</video:title>
<video:description>Date Eating at Term: Are Dates the Secret to Smoother Labor? 🤔Wondering if those delicious dates could do more than just satisfy your sweet tooth? Turns out, dates may be a hidden gem in preparing your body for labor! Here’s how: 1. Enhanced Cervical Ripening – Dates may help soften the cervix, potentially easing dilation and labor progression. 2. Increased Uterine Responsiveness – Some compounds in dates mimic oxytocin, which can encourage the uterus to contract more effectively. 3. Reduced Need for Labor Induction – Studies suggest that women who eat dates are less likely to need medical induction, allowing labor to start naturally. 4. Shorter First Stage of Labor – Research shows that date eaters may experience a shorter early labor phase, helping conserve energy for active labor. 5. Natural Energy Boost – Dates offer natural sugars for steady energy release, helping manage fatigue during labor. 6. Better Digestion – Rich in fiber, dates support digestion, easing constipation and reducing bloating discomfort in late pregnancy. 7. Essential Nutrients – Dates contain potassium, magnesium, and folate, which support muscle function and fetal health as delivery nears. 📆 When to Start? Research suggests eating 6 dates per day from 36 weeks onward for the most benefits. 📖 A study published in the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (2011) found that women who consumed dates daily in the last four weeks of pregnancy experienced significantly higher cervical dilation and reduced need for induction. ‼️While dates aren’t a guaranteed labor starter, they just might make the journey a bit easier!🌟 Have you tried eating dates during pregnancy? <video:title>🤰🏻Baby’s First Moves: What to Expect and When🥰</video:title>
<video:description>🤰🏻Baby’s First Moves: What to Expect and When🥰 🪄Feeling baby kicks is a magical part of pregnancy! Here’s a quick guide to what you might feel as the months go by: 🌸 16-20 Weeks: Those first fluttery kicks might feel like butterflies - light and gentle, as baby’s just starting to stretch out! 🌊 20-24 Weeks: By now, you may notice rolling waves as baby moves and wiggles, finding new positions in there. 🤏🏽 24-32 Weeks: Baby’s got some strength! You’ll feel nudges and small kicks, almost like little thumps saying, “Hey, Mom!” 🥋 32-40 Weeks: At this stage, baby’s a pro! Expect karate kicks and wrestling moves as they make the most of every inch they have left. 🔅While these are common timeframes, some factors - like the position of the placenta or baby’s position - can affect what you feel and when. ‼️If you’re unsure about baby’s movements, or notice a decrease in activity, it’s always best to check in with your doctor. #babykicks #firsttimemom #babymovement #pregnancy #firsttrimester #secondtrimester #thirstrimester #activebaby #pregnant #baby #babies #babiesofinstagram #fyp #obgyn #womenshealth #pregnantbelly #belly #kicks #movement #healthypregnancy #healthy #fitness #ahmedabad #instagram #instadaily #cute #cutebaby #parenting 🧐First-time moms, how did you feel when you first experienced baby kicks?</video:description>

<video:description>➡️✨Childbirth education✨ is essential for anyone preparing for childbirth, empowering both the individual and their support team to approach labor with confidence and knowledge. Understanding the stages of labor and effective coping techniques can significantly reduce anxiety and enhance the birthing experience. ➡️Here are key components that highlight the importance of childbirth education: 🌬️Breathing and Relaxation – Controlled breathing techniques help manage tension, improve oxygen flow, and alleviate pain during contractions, contributing to a more positive labor experience. 🌸Pelvic Floor Awareness – Understanding pelvic floor mechanics goes beyond Kegels, education focuses on when to relax and lengthen these muscles, which can aid in the baby’s descent and reduce the risk of tearing. 🤝🏻Partner’s Role – Educated partners can provide essential physical and emotional support through techniques like massage and positioning, helping to create a calming environment during labor. 🧘🏻‍♀️Mobility and Positioning – Learning how to change positions and incorporate movement can help open the pelvis and facilitate labor progression while enhancing comfort. ❌ Myth Busting – Childbirth education dispels common myths, such as the belief that labor preparation is limited to deep squats or butterfly stretches. Instead, it emphasizes a holistic approach that includes tailored breathing, mobility, and relaxation techniques. 📌Investing in childbirth education leads to a more resilient and positive birth experience, allowing individuals to feel in control and well-supported every step of the way. By equipping both the birthing individual and their partner with knowledge and practical skills, it fosters a supportive and empowering environment that can significantly impact the overall experience. 🔍 Are there other myths or techniques you’d like to know about? <video:description>👩🏻‍⚕️On this World Physical Therapy Day, I want to highlight the importance of physiotherapy in C-section recovery. 🧐Did you know that during a C-section, 7 layers of tissue are cut and retracted to safely deliver the baby? These include the skin, fat, fascia, muscle, peritoneum, and the uterus! 🔅Just like post-surgical rehab is essential after an ACL repair or abdominal surgery, physiotherapy for C-section recovery is equally important. ❗️Without it, issues like diastasis recti, pelvic floor dysfunction, and scar tissue adhesions can arise, impacting long-term health and mobility. ➡️Physiotherapy helps restore core strength, pelvic floor function, and overall mobility - just like how ACL rehab ensures proper knee function. All C-section mothers benefit from this recovery process to prevent complications and regain full strength and confidence. 💪🏽 Every woman’s body is unique, and so is each postpartum journey.🩷 ➡️Recovery after a C-section can vary greatly depending on factors such as prior health, pregnancy experience, and delivery circumstances. This is why it’s essential for C-section mothers to be assessed by a women’s health physiotherapist. A thorough assessment ensures a personalized treatment plan tailored to your specific needs!😇 💌DM us to know more! #worldphysiotherapyday #physicaltherapy #csectionrecovery #csection #awareness #womenshealth #womenshealthphysiotherapy #postpartumjourney #recovery #fyp #ahmedabad #india #obgyn #obstetricsandgynecology #physiotherapy</video:description>

<video:description>💁🏻‍♂️Fathers, do you want to help your partners during labor but don’t know how?🤔 🤰🏻Attending childbirth education classes together can equip you with the knowledge and confidence needed to support your partner effectively during labor and delivery. These classes will teach you how to provide crucial support through techniques like massage, counter-pressure, and guiding her through breathing and movement. 1️⃣ Promotes oxytocin release through physical connection: When you offer massage or help with movement during labor, it triggers the release of oxytocin, enhancing contractions and strengthening your emotional connection. 2️⃣ Reduces stress hormones & promotes relaxation: Your calm and supportive presence helps lower cortisol levels, creating a more relaxed environment that allows her body to labor more effectively. 3️⃣ Guiding you through movements for optimal fetal positioning: With the right guidance, you can assist your partner in exercises that encourage the baby to move into an optimal position for birth. 4️⃣ Supports effective breathing: Helping her focus on proper breathing techniques ensures both she and the baby receive adequate oxygen, which stabilizes heart rates and makes contractions more efficient. 5️⃣ Boosts endorphin levels: Your words of encouragement and constant reassurance increase her endorphin levels, the body’s natural painkillers, making contractions more manageable. 6️⃣ Creates a shared experience of bringing life into the world: Labor is not just a physical journey, it’s an emotional one too. By supporting her, you’re creating a bond and shared memories that will last a lifetime.🩷 📌For detailed guidance on these techniques and how to best support your partner during labor, consult a women’s health physiotherapist. They can provide personalized advice and strategies to ensure a safe and positive birthing experience.🩺 💌DM us to know more about all the techniques and strategies or to attend our childbirth classes!🫶🏽 #laboranddelivery #labor #partnerssupport #emotionalsupport …</video:description>

<video:description>🔅As we bid farewell to the Paris Olympics 2024, it’s crucial to shed light on an often overlooked issue: Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI) in female athletes. ➡️SUI is a condition where involuntary urine leakage occurs during physical activities that increase abdominal pressure, such as running, jumping, or lifting. 📚A 2022 study found that over half of elite track and field athletes experience urinary incontinence, particularly during training sessions. ➡️SUI is more common in female athletes due to several factors, including the unique anatomy of the female pelvis, hormonal influences, and the physical demands of high-impact sports. The repetitive strain placed on the pelvic floor muscles during intense athletic activities can weaken these muscles, making them less able to support the bladder and urethra effectively. 📌This condition not only impacts athletic performance but can also lead to significant quality of life concerns, including psychological distress, decreased confidence, and social withdrawal. 🔸As a women’s health physiotherapist, I cannot stress enough the importance of early detection and specialized pelvic floor rehabilitation for these athletes. 🔸Addressing SUI is vital not just for their athletic careers but for their overall well-being. 🔸By raising awareness and providing targeted care, we can ensure that female athletes continue to excel both on and off the field, maintaining their health and well-being throughout their careers. 💌DM us to know more! 🎥 @worldathletics @itsshacarri #stressurinaryincontinence #SUI #PelvicFloorHealth #FemaleAthletes #pelvicfloor #LeakFreeRunning #PelvicPT #SportsMedicine #WomenInSports #AthleteHealth #PelvicFloorRehab #IncontinenceAwareness #running #EliteAthletes #SportsPhysiotherapy #BladderHealth #WomenHealthPhysio #pelvicfloorphysicaltherapy #womenshealth #physicaltherapy #paris #parisolympics2024 #olympics #sprint #femalefitness #trackandfield #sport #femaleathlete #trending #fyp</video:description>

<video:title>❗️ Faint Pink Line on Pregnancy Test ❗️</video:title>
<video:description>❗️ Faint Pink Line on Pregnancy Test ❗️ 🔅As a gynecologist, I understand that it can be hard to interpret these results. A faint line usually indicates a low level of the pregnancy hormone (hCG) in your urine, which could mean an early pregnancy or even a potential issue with the test. ➡️Here’s what you should do: 🔸Retest in a few days to see if the line darkens, which can confirm a pregnancy. 🔸Check if you used the test correctly and at the right time of day (morning urine is best). 🔸Consult a healthcare professional for a blood test or an ultrasound to get a definitive answer. ‼️Remember, early and accurate testing is key. If you have any concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out for medical advice. 💬 💌DM us if you have any queries and to know more!😇 👩🏻‍⚕️Dr. Charmi Shah (M.S. <video:description>Childbirth is a remarkable journey that deserves comprehensive preparation. While exercises like deep squats and duck walks can benefit pelvic floor health, they are not a guaranteed path to vaginal delivery. True childbirth education goes beyond physical fitness. Understanding the intricacies of the pelvis – its inlet, midpelvis, and outlet – is crucial. Each of these areas must open for a baby to pass through smoothly. A holistic approach to prenatal education equips mothers with the knowledge and tools for a positive birth experience. This includes tailored exercises, effective breathing techniques, pain management strategies, and exploring various birthing positions. By understanding their bodies and options, women can feel confident and empowered as they embark on this incredible chapter. Contact us on +91 95585 83559 & Visit us today!</video:description>

<video:title>✨ Post-partum Weight loss ✨</video:title>
<video:description>✨ Post-partum Weight loss ✨ ➡️We have heard patients saying, “Breastfeeding alone will help me lose weight, so I don’t need to exercise.” But the fact is while breastfeeding can burn calories, it doesn’t replace the need for exercise. Without physical activity, you may lose muscle mass crucial for strength and metabolism, hindering long-term weight loss goals. ➡️Also, 2/3 women suffer from back pain in their post-partum period. So engaging in a physiotherapist-guided exercise regimen to strengthen core muscles and work on your posture can help alleviate back pain. 🔆Here are a few tips for Medically-Sound Postpartum Weight Loss: 1. Balanced Diet: Incorporate a variety of whole foods, lean proteins, fruits, and vegetables. 2. Hydration: Maintain adequate fluid intake, particularly important if breastfeeding. 3. Structured Exercise: Begin with low-impact activities and progressively increase intensity as guided by a physiotherapist. 4. Adequate Rest: Ensure sufficient sleep to facilitate recovery and hormonal balance. 5. Gradual Weight Loss: Aim for a slow, steady approach. Allow your body the necessary time to heal. ‼️Remember, always consult your gynecologist and women’s health physiotherapist to develop a personalized plan. Prioritize your health and well-being!🩷 💌DM us to know more!😇 [ Post-partum weight loss, Core strengthening, Pelvic floor, Diet & Nutrition, Posture correction, Breastfeeding, Post-partum woman, Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, Women Health Physiotherapist, postnatal pilates, Weight loss, Mental health, post-partum depression, Low back pain, Nimaaya health, Ahmedabad, India]</video:description>

<video:title>✨Post-partum exercise guideline✨</video:title>
<video:description>✨Post-partum exercise guideline✨ ➡️After childbirth, resuming exercise is a crucial step for recovery, but it’s important to approach it correctly. ➡️Generally, most women can start gentle exercises around 4-6 weeks postpartum. However, recovery differs between vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections due to the varying impacts on the body. ➡️Vaginal deliveries often allow for a quicker return to physical activity, while C-sections, being major surgeries, require a more cautious approach. 📌Each woman’s body heals at its own pace, and individual strength and circumstances vary widely. ‼️To ensure you are exercising safely and effectively, it is essential to get assessed by your gynecologist and a women’s health physiotherapist. They can provide a tailored exercise plan that suits your specific recovery needs, helping you heal and regain strength properly. Remember, personalized care is key to a healthy recovery and optimal postpartum fitness.💪🏽 💌👇🏽Comment down or DM us your queries if you want to know more about post-partum fitness!😇 [ Post-partum, Normal delivery vs C-section, Post-partum fitness, obstetrics & Gynaecology, Women’s Health Physiotherapist, Pelvic floor exercises, Strength training, Posture correction, Breastfeeding, Nimaaya Health, Ahmedabad, India ]</video:description>

<video:description>💛Endometriosis is a condition where tissue similar to the lining inside the uterus, known as the endometrium, grows outside the uterus. Symptoms of Endometriosis: 🔸Pelvic pain (dysmenorrhea) 🔸Painful menstruation (dyspareunia) 🔸Heavy menstrual bleeding (menorrhagia) 🔸Fatigue and exhaustion 🔸Gastrointestinal symptoms (bloating, diarrhea, constipation) 🔸Pain during urination or bowel movements (dysuria, dyschezia) 🔸Pain during intercourse 🔸Infertility ✨Pilates, a form of low-impact exercise focusing on flexibility, core strength, and body awareness, can help alleviate symptoms of endometriosis through several mechanisms. Let’s see how - ➡️Pilates exercises strengthens the pelvic floor, reducing pelvic pain and tenderness commonly experienced in endometriosis. ➡️It focuses on activating deep core muscles such as the transversus abdominis and multifidus. This increased activation improves core stability, enhancing body mechanics and reducing strain on pelvic organs, thereby alleviating symptoms. ➡️By optimizing pelvic health, Pilates may indirectly support fertility goals in affected individuals. ➡️It incorporates breathing techniques and mindfulness practices that reduce cortisol levels, the stress hormone. ➡️By increasing the range of motion in pelvic and surrounding joints, Pilates helps alleviate stiffness and discomfort associated with endometriosis. ➡️Enhanced circulation can increase oxygen and nutrient delivery to tissues, reduces the feeling of fatigue and improves overall energy levels. ➡️Pilates, like other forms of exercise, stimulates the release of endorphins, which are neurotransmitters known as “feel-good” hormones. Endorphins can help alleviate feelings of anxiety and depression, leading to improved mood and overall well-being. ‼️Although Pilates is not the primary treatment for endometriosis, it can complement medical interventions by managing symptoms and improving quality of life for affected individuals. 🧐Have you been suffering from any of these symptoms? <video:description>🤰🏻When life gives you a bump, Pilates gives you the strength to lift it.💪🏽 ✨Prenatal Pilates offers a low-impact, holistic approach for moms-to-be!🫶🏽 ➡️Pilates during pregnancy offers multifaceted benefits by promoting musculoskeletal stability, pelvic floor engagement, and enhanced postural awareness. Eventually preparing the body for labor and delivery. ➡️This exercise regimen cultivates isometric strength, particularly in the transversus abdominis and multifidus muscles, crucial for lumbar-pelvic stability. ➡️The controlled movements and focus on breath control facilitate diaphragmatic function, fostering optimal oxygenation for both maternal and fetal well-being. ➡️Pilates during pregnancy contributes to increased flexibility, addressing the body’s adaptability to the evolving demands of gestation. It not only fosters physical strength but also nurtures a heightened mind-body connection, promoting a sense of well-being. ➡️Beyond physical benefits, engaging in prenatal Pilates can positively impact mental health, alleviating stress and enhancing mood through the release of endorphins. 💫Additionally, the emphasis on controlled, slow movements mitigates the risk of musculoskeletal strain, making Pilates a safe modality to enhance core strength and overall physical resilience during the dynamic changes of pregnancy. ‼️For personalized guidance and to ensure a safe practice, it is recommended to consult with your gynaecologist and a women’s health physiotherapist or certified Pilates instructor specializing in prenatal fitness. 💌DM us for more details and embark on your prenatal Pilates journey with us. Let’s nurture strength, well-being, and a smooth pregnancy together!🩷 [ Prenatal Pilates, Reformer Pilates, Pregnancy exercise, Women’s Health Physiotherapist, Pilates instructor ]</video:description>

<video:title>Train SMARTER, not HARDER!💪🏽</video:title>
<video:description>Train SMARTER, not HARDER!💪🏽 Let’s decode how to train during different phases of MENSTRUAL CYCLE to attain optimal fitness!🩸 ➡️Menstrual Phase (Days 1-5): During the menstrual phase, estrogen and progesterone levels are at their lowest. This is a time for gentle exercises like Stretching, yoga, pilates and walking. Opt for activities that provide relief from menstrual discomfort and promote relaxation. ➡️Follicular Phase (Days 6-13): As the body transitions into the follicular phase, estrogen starts to rise. This phase is characterized by increased energy and stamina. Engage in more intense workouts such as cardio, strength training, taking advantage of the heightened estrogen levels. ➡️Ovulatory Phase (Day 14): The ovulatory phase sees a peak in estrogen, contributing to improved strength and endurance. Embrace challenging workouts during this phase, including HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training), Strength training or Weight lifting. Leverage the elevated energy levels for more demanding fitness routines. ➡️Luteal Phase (Days 15-28): Moving into the luteal phase, estrogen decreases while progesterone rises. This phase may bring PMS symptoms and increased susceptibility to muscle soreness. Opt for stability-focused exercises like Pilates, Yoga, walking or swimming. Mindful workouts can help manage stress and support the body through hormonal fluctuations during the luteal phase. ‼️Remember, these are general guidelines, and individual responses to hormonal changes can vary. Listening to your body and adjusting your workout routine accordingly is key to optimizing the benefits of cycle syncing for your fitness journey✨</video:description>

<video:title>How Does Emergency Contraception Work? 🔍</video:title>
<video:description>How Does Emergency Contraception Work? 🔍 Ever wondered about the science behind emergency contraception? 🤔 👩🏻‍⚕️Let's break it down: 🔹 Timing is Key: Emergency contraception primarily works by delaying or preventing ovulation – the release of an egg from the ovary. It's most effective when taken as soon as possible after unprotected intercourse. 🔹 Thickening the Gates: Some methods create a thicker cervical mucus, making it harder for sperm to reach the egg. 🔹 Unwelcoming Environment: Emergency contraception can also alter the lining of the uterus, making it less hospitable for a fertilized egg to implant. 📌Remember, these methods are not 100% foolproof. 💌If you're concerned about unwanted pregnancy or have questions DM us.🌟</video:description>

<video:description>Many women who struggle with fertility issues turn to hormone therapy to increase their chances of getting pregnant. One of the most common forms of hormone therapy is Clomid, which is used to stimulate ovulation. By taking Clomid, women can increase the number of eggs they produce and improve their chances of conceiving. However, it's important to consult with a doctor before starting any type of hormone therapy. Have you or someone you know tried Clomid to stimulate ovulation? <video:title>The 21st of March is WORLD DOWN SYNDROME DAY!</video:title>
<video:description>The 21st of March is WORLD DOWN SYNDROME DAY! The goal of this day is to raise awareness about Down Syndrome and to reduce the social stigma that patients face. It is a genetic disorder that affects over 30,000 children in India. It occurs when there is unnatural cell division as a result of chromosome 21 replication. India, like every developing country, struggles to provide timely medical aid and education to people diagnosed with Developmental Disorders, particularly those from economically depressed families. ⭐Did you know that prenatal testing allows you and your family to identify Down syndrome as early as 11 weeks of pregnancy? ➡️Pregnant women are offered routine prenatal tests at various stages of their pregnancy for a variety of reasons, including: Screening tests (Double marker test, NT Scan, NIPT, etc.) that determine the likelihood of having a baby with a genetic condition. Your healthcare provider is the best person to ask if you have any questions or concerns! 💌 DM us for more!</video:description>
